The fellows joined with a small group of community members for a screening of God & Country, a film aiming to inform about the threat of white Christian nationalism on American democracy. Adam Friedman from Interfaith Alliance provided some helpful framing and let the group know about what Interfaith Alliance is doing to help combat this form of extremism.
This was an intimate event, which made for good conversation! The group had had some time to discuss after the film and were able to learn from each other about what they didn’t know before and what the film may have been missing.

Featuring prominent Christian thought leaders, “God & Country” asks this question: What happens when a faith built on love, sacrifice, and forgiveness grows political tentacles, conflating power, money, and belief into hyper-nationalism?
