Eid al-Adha Celebration

Eid al-Adha is a celebration to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim’s devotion to Allah and his readiness to sacrifice his son, Ismail. At the very point of sacrifice, Allah replaced Ismail with a ram to be slaughtered instead of Ibrahim’s son. This command from Allah SWT (“Subhanahu wa ta’ala” or “Glorious and Exalted is He”) was a test of Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness and commitment to obey his Lord’s command, without question. Therefore, Eid al-Adha means the “Feast of Sacrifice.”

The true essence of Eid is celebrating it together as a community. Guests joined our fellows to learn more about Eid al-Adha, eat lots of great food, and celebrate!
