Ellen grew up in Charlotte, NC and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She currently works at the Aspen Institute’s Religion & Society Program as a Program Associate and previously worked at the PeaceWorks Foundation and the policy office of the Reform Jewish movement, the Religious Action Center. Ellen is especially interested in the intersections of religion and politics and working on progressive policymaking in the South. Outside of Ellen’s professional life, she can’t remember a time in her life where she wasn’t singing or performing. She also has perfected her hummus-making skills and is eager to check more states and countries off her travel list. Ellen is in the second year of her fellowship and loves being part of Abrahamic House and learning from and connecting with interfaith communities in DC!
