The Abrahamic House invites you to an afternoon of gimbap-making and conversation about the challenge of forgiveness. Gimbap is a popular Korean dish where rice and various fillings like vegetables and egg are rolled together in seaweed.
We are gathering on Palm Sunday, a day when Christians remember Jesus entering Jerusalem. While many people expected a leader who would use force to settle old scores with their enemies, Jesus arrived as a messenger of peace. This day reminds us that letting go of a grudge is often harder and more courageous than seeking revenge.
Join us for an afternoon of rolling, slicing, and shared reflection. As we learn to roll our gimbap, we will talk about the “work” of forgiveness in our own lives. We will look at stories and verses from Christianity and other traditions that capture the beautiful, frustrating, and essential role of forgiveness in our world today.
This event will take place on Sunday, March 29th at 3 pm
Location details will be provided via email within 72 hours of the event.
